    The Guyana Amazon Warriors have announced five overseas players for the 2026 edition of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League. The international squad confirmed for the upcoming tournament includes South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir, New Zealand's Glenn Phillips, Afghan's Mohammad Nabi, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, along with South African all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius, giving the team a strong mix of experienced bowlers, powerful batters, and versatile all-rounders for the 2026 CPL season. Imran Tahir brings vast experience, accurate leg-spin bowling, and a strong ability to take wickets during the middle overs. His success in T20 leagues around the world makes him a key player and adds valuable leadership and tactical knowledge to the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Glenn Phillips is known for his powerful batting and outstanding fielding. His ability to change the course of a match with aggressive batting and his excellent athleticism make him a valuable addition to the Warriors' squad. Mohammad Nabi returns to the Guyana Amazon Warriors, adding experience as a dependable all-rounder. He contributes with effective off-spin bowling and useful lower-order batting, providing balance and leadership to the team. His experience in top T20 leagues around the world allows him to mentor and guide younger players. Rahmanullah Gurbaz joins the Warriors team as an exciting young wicketkeeper-batter. His aggressive opening batting is expected to provide quick runs in the powerplay and strengthen the team's top order. Dwaine Pretorius completes the Warriors' overseas squad, bringing reliable fast bowling with the new ball and at the end of innings, along with useful lower-order batting that gives the team greater flexibility. The overseas players will join a strong local core led by Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope. Together, they give the Guyana Amazon Warriors a brilliantly balanced squad with great strength in batting, spin, and pace attack for the 2026 CPL season.
