‘The American Carnival’: Halftime power rankings Part 2

‘The American Carnival’ is a yearlong cultural examination of the impact of the Super Bowl halftime show far beyond entertainment. Through history, politics, race, economics and music, the series explores how 12 minutes on the most-watched stage in the country often say more about America than the game itself. Whew! Much has changed since our first rankings. While four of the top five remain the same, the energy around them has shifted dramatically. We’ve also expanded this to 10 candidates, though we’ll reserve the bulk of the discussion for the top five. We’re still about two months away from the NFL announcing who’ll be performing at SoFi Stadium on Valentine’s Day 2027. The last time the Super Bowl was in Inglewood, California — 2022, in case you’re wondering — Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg delivered a performance that shaped the scope, scale and absurdity of just how audacious a halftime show could be in the social media age. That’s what’s on the line here. The past, present and future of the halftime show.  Training camps start later this month. One team will win the annual war of attrition and become the last squad standing come February. With the halftime performance, however, that road is already underway. Let’s take a look at who’s rising, falling and just who really has a shot at the concert the entire country will watch — and debate for years. Related Story 'The American Carnival': Halftime power rankings – Andscape Read now 10. SZA Though her most recent album was released more than a year and a half ago, SZA still commands a metric ton of attention. She proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that she wasn’t merely a complementary act on the GNX Tour alongside Kendrick Lamar. She’s a superstar in her own right. She’s got the catalog, the hits and the stage presence that would make her worthy of being just the fourth Black woman to headline the halftime show — joining Diana Ross (1996), Beyoncé (2013) and Rihanna (2023). 9. Harry Styles Here’s hoping Styles continues to recover after a scary incident last month when he collapsed on stage during his 12-night Together Together residency at Wembley Stadium in London. As said previously, this isn’t about whether Styles could deliver a stellar show. He absolutely would — and, again, the faint thought of a One Direction reunion is reason enough to keep him in mind. It’s about whether the timing works. 8. Olivia Rodrigo Stage presence? Check. Catalog? 100 percent. Crossover appeal? Not that the halftime show needs to concern itself with that, but Olivia’s got that, too. She’s already headlined internationally known festivals such as Glastonbury. The halftime stage wouldn’t intimidate her at all. Plus, records like “Vampire” and “Good 4 U” would translate well in Los Angeles come February. Related Story Michael Jackson and the night the Super Bowl stood still – Andscape Read now 7. Dua Lipa To be honest, don’t be shocked if you see her name start creeping up the list in the coming installments. She’s globally known. Her streaming numbers are massive. And, with records like “Don’t Start Now,” “New Rules,” “Levitating” and “Sweetest Pie” with Megan Thee Stallion (a Roc Nation artist, mind you), one could argue it’s amazing she hasn’t already graced the biggest stage in American entertainment. 6. Ariana Grande The pop superstar’s new project, Petal, drops July 31. Unless the album is a dud, it’s hard to imagine a world where Grande doesn’t get a swell of Grammy nominations in all the big categories. Also, the caliber and depth of her catalog makes her an artist worthy of the Super Bowl halftime stage. 5. Charli XCX Charli XCX attends the 2026 Met Gala celebrating “Costume Art” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4 in New York City. Taylor Hill/Getty Images Cultural momentum: 8/10 Catalog infrastructure: 9/10 Storyline: 9/10 Showtime acumen: 9/10 NFL compatibility: 8/10 Halftime probability score: 43/50 The Case For: It’s redundant to say this, but the catalog, the catalog, the catalog. To even be considered for a stage of this magnitude, the catalog has to be impenetrable. “Boom Clap” and “Apple” sound like Super Bowl tailor-made songs. Yet, her biggest appeal? Charli has a generation that the NFL covets deeply in a chokehold, and that’s Gen Z. Her “Brat” movement became a worldwide phenomenon. If we want an artist who can make a real statement and showcase younger talent, she’s nearly the perfect choice. The Case Against: As someone familiar with Charli’s music and energy told me recently, “[She] would put on a helluva show, but the FCC would probably sue them.” 4. Taylor Swift Taylor Swift celebrates with Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs after defeating the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Jan. 26, 2025 in Kansas City, Mo. David Eulitt/Getty Images Cultural momentum: 8/10 Catalog infrastructure: 10/10 Storyline: 8/10 Showtime acumen: 10/10 NFL compatibility: 9/10 Halftime probability score: 45/50 The Case For: This reasoning hasn’t changed since the first installment. If she wants to do the show, she’s doing the show, and the NFL will reap the benefits magnificently from it. The Case Against: She got married this month. The halftime announcement is likely to come in September. Maybe, just maybe, Swift wants to enjoy those early days of marriage simply enjoying such and not have to balance her husband’s NFL career — a major season, given the Chiefs’ disappointment last year — and her own NFL-adjacent responsibility. Maybe. Plus, this would be an access-and-proximity pick, because it’s not as if Swift has been super active in 2026. 3. Cardi B Cardi B speaks onstage during the 2026 Essence Festival of Culture® presented by Coca-Cola® at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on July 3 in New Orleans. Erika Goldring/Getty Images for Essence Cultural momentum: 9/10 Catalog infrastructure: 9/10 Storyline: 9/10 Showtime acumen: 10/10 NFL compatibility: 10/10 Halftime probability Score: 47/50 The Case For: Though many did, I don’t consider Cardi’s appearance at Bad Bunny’s set this year a performance. Why? Because she didn’t…perform. In a Spaces conversation on X in May, Cardi spoke about the deep desire to go on tour again following the resounding success of her Little Miss Drama Tour. “I didn’t ‘supposedly’ gross $70 million,” she said. “It actually did gross $70 million.” She’s long proved she could command a stage of that magnitude and has an even deeper catalog in tow now. Also, equally as important in all this, she’d be a media darling in the road leading up to The American Carnival aka Super Bowl LXI. For what it’s worth, too, Cardi did perform at entrepreneur Michael Rubin’s White Party over Fourth of July weekend. The Case Against: That same tour we just spoke about? It’s over now, and while Cardi isn’t sitting at home twiddling her thumbs, her motion has motioned at higher frequencies in the past. At least in the past two years (Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny), Roc Nation has opted for artists who had the most undeniable years. Cardi’s a phenomenal choice — hence her No. 3 ranking — but she’s not “undeniable” right now either. Related Story When Jay-Z became a rapper again – Andscape Read now 2. Justin Bieber Justin Bieber performs at the halftime show during the FIFA World Cup 2026 final match between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19 in East Rutherford, N.J. Eduardo Carmim/Eurasia Sport Images/Getty Images Cultural momentum: 8/10 Catalog infrastructure: 10/10 Storyline: 8/10 Showtime acumen: 10/10 NFL compatibility: 9/10 Halftime probability score: 45/50 The Case For: Up until Jay-Z’s New York homecoming, there hasn’t been an artist in 2026 with a bigger musical moment than Justin Bieber’s Coachella headlining show. It garnered nearly 150 million global views, and in the weeks following the performance, Bieber remained the top-streamed artist on Spotify. He logged 431 million streams in a single week in April. I’m not even an analytics guy like that, but those numbers speak for themselves. Now imagine that with a stage the entire world sees at the same time, for the biggest audience in American pop culture. The only requirement is that he can’t play songs off his laptop (like he did at Coachella) or wear only boxers (like he did at the Grammys). Other than that, the stage is set almost perfectly for Bieber to run through a medley of his biggest hits — of which he has a ton. The Case Against: It’s a great look regardless, but I haven’t decided yet if Bieber doing halftime at the World Cup final makes his Super Bowl case stronger or weaker. It’s been hard to pin down where Justin is, mentally speaking, in recent years. Doing halftime means more than the 15 minutes he’d be on stage. Would he want to agree with the requirements and endless media obligations of the halftime show? Maybe; he has been a megastar for more than half his life. But that’s also why he might not even want to bother. 1. JAŸ-Z Jay-Z is seen before the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group E match between Côte d’Ivoire and Ecuador at Philadelphia Stadium on June 14.Dan Mullan/Getty Images Cultural momentum:10/10 Catalog infrastructure: 10/10 Storyline: 9/10 Showtime acumen: 9/10 NFL compatibility: 10/10 Halftime probability score: 48/50 The Case For: It sounds unbelievable, but no artist has been more visible in 2026 than JAŸ-Z. From amazement, controversy, nostalgia and everywhere in between, Shawn Corey Carter has once again proved there are few in music history who can quarterback a rollout quite like him. His Roots Picnic performance confirmed his stage command hasn’t dwindled in the least bit. Meanwhile, his Yankee Stadium sold-out, three-night run was a banner moment in a career bursting at the seams with them. There are more shows in Los Angeles and Paris in the fall, too. And who knows what else is in the works — perhaps new music? Don’t expect a freestyle if Jay graces the Super Bowl stage. Then again, it’s Jay, so anything is on the table. But for a living legend who has done everything an artist could, except this one thing, it’s hard to think of a better time to check off that final box. The Case Against: The obvious, honestly. Would the man who helped reinvent the Super Bowl halftime stage to the most coveted platform in American entertainment actually want to headline it himself? Legit Games That Pay Real Money in Nigeria in 2026

GistReel Games that pay real money in Nigeria are attracting more attention as mobile gaming, esports competitions and app-based payments become easier to access. However, the honest list of verified options is much shorter than many online articles suggest. Interest increased again in July 2026 when MPL Naija promoted a nationwide Ludo competition running from July 13 to July 21 with more than ₦3 million in cash and prizes. The event highlighted a growing market for competitive mobile games, but it also showed an important distinction. A limited tournament prize is not the same as a game that guarantees income every day. For readers comparing casino-style rewards, Fair Gambling provides a calculator covering BC.Game monthly cashback and other ongoing bonus structures. It can estimate possible value using factors such as wagering volume, game type and profit or loss, although the result is not a guaranteed payout. This updated guide separates genuine Nigerian cash competitions from reward apps, international tournaments and gambling products. It also explains how to verify withdrawals before investing time or money. Last reviewed July 23, 2026. Top Quick Picks for Nigerian Players The most suitable choice depends on whether you want casual mobile competition, organised esports or casino entertainment. Game or route Best for How rewards work Main limitation MPL Naija Ludo Dice Casual competitive players Cash matches and seasonal leaderboards Entry fees and chance affect results MPL Naija Whot Card-game players Cash matches and promotional competitions Major leagues are not always active Other MPL Naija games Mobile players seeking variety Eligible cash contests inside the app Not every game or mode pays Call of Duty Mobile tournaments Experienced esports teams Qualifiers and sponsored prize pools High skill and team coordination required Mobile Legends Bang Bang events Competitive mobile teams Federation and publisher-backed tournaments Events run at scheduled times Free Fire competitions Battle royale players Community and sponsored tournaments Organiser quality varies EA Sports FC and Tekken events Console and fighting-game players Local or regional tournament prizes No permanent daily cash-out Casino games Adults using entertainment funds Withdrawable winnings from wagers Players can lose their deposited money MPL Naija currently provides the clearest local bank-withdrawal route. Other games can pay through tournaments, but players must verify each event individually. What Games That Pay Real Money Actually Means The phrase covers several very different earning models. Treating them as one category can lead to unrealistic expectations. Cash Competition Games Cash competition platforms allow players to enter matches or leaderboards with published rewards. Entry may be free, paid or funded through promotional credits. Some results depend mainly on player decisions, while others combine decision-making with random elements. Ludo, for example, involves strategy but also relies on dice outcomes. Winning one match does not prove that a player will remain profitable after several entry fees. Esports Tournaments Esports tournaments are organised competitions involving games such as Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Free Fire, EA Sports FC and Tekken. Prize money normally goes to the highest-ranked individuals or teams. A large advertised prize pool may be shared among several winners and thousands of unsuccessful entrants. These competitions reward practice, teamwork and technical skill, but they do not provide automatic payment for ordinary gameplay. Reward Gaming Apps Some apps pay points when users install games, reach milestones, watch adverts or complete sponsored offers. These points may be exchanged for cash, cryptocurrency or gift cards. The number and value of offers often depend on location, meaning screenshots from users in the United States or Europe may not reflect what is available in Nigeria. Casino Games Slots, crash games, roulette, blackjack and live casino tables can produce real-money winnings. They also require players to risk money against games designed with a mathematical operator advantage. Casino winnings should never be described as salary, passive income or guaranteed earnings. Top Legit Games That Pay Real Money in Nigeria The following options have current or recent evidence of organised Nigerian competitions. Availability and reward rules may still change. MPL Naija Ludo Dice Ludo Dice is one of the most visible real-money mobile games designed for Nigerian users. Players compete against other users through eligible cash matches and special events. MPL Naija’s published guidance says winnings can be transferred to Nigerian bank accounts after the minimum withdrawal requirement is met. Its July 2026 Naija Ludo League offered cash, electronics, a resort experience and other prizes through daily leaderboards and a grand finale. The event ended on July 21, so it should not be presented as an active promotion after that date. Ordinary cash matches may still be available inside the app. Check the lobby for the current entry fee, possible winnings and withdrawal rules before playing. Ludo also contains a chance element because dice rolls affect the available moves. Strategy can improve decision-making, but no player controls every outcome. MPL Naija Whot Whot is a familiar card game for many Nigerian players and is another prominent title on MPL Naija. The platform has previously run daily Whot leaderboards where wins contributed to cash balances and tournament positions. Promotional prizes have included phones, gaming equipment and other items. These large leagues are seasonal. An old article showing an attractive prize does not prove that the same reward is still available. Before joining, confirm whether the current mode is: A free practice game A paid head-to-head match A cash leaderboard A promotional tournament A non-cash casual mode Knowing the format prevents users from assuming that every Whot match generates withdrawable earnings. Other MPL Naija Cash Games MPL Naija has offered other mobile games, including Snakes and Ladders and additional casual titles. The important factor is not simply whether a title appears in the app. Players need to check whether the specific mode displays an entry amount and an eligible cash prize. A game may rotate between free, promotional and paid formats. The available selection can also change as the platform updates its catalogue. New users should start with practice modes and request a small withdrawal before entering higher-value matches. Call of Duty Mobile Tournaments Call of Duty Mobile offers one of the strongest competitive pathways for African esports players. Carry1st has organised Africa Cup competitions involving teams from Nigeria and other African markets. These events have included regional qualifiers, live finals and significant prize pools. A recent Carry1st update published in July 2026 also highlighted the continued development of Call of Duty Mobile esports in Africa. This makes the title newsworthy for serious Nigerian teams, although it is not an app that pays everyone for casual matches. To compete effectively, a team may need: Five experienced players Reliable devices Stable mobile internet Regular practice sessions Clear team communication Compliance with tournament age and residency rules Players should follow official Carry1st and Call of Duty Mobile announcements rather than paying unofficial agents for tournament access. Mobile Legends Bang Bang Competitions Mobile Legends Bang Bang has an established competitive presence in Nigeria. The Nigeria Esports Federation has announced a partnership with MOONTON Games supporting Mobile Legends Bang Bang as an esports title. Carry1st also held an African women’s qualifier in 2026 connected to the Mobile Legends Women’s Invitational at the Esports World Cup. The women’s qualifier concluded earlier in the year and should not be advertised as currently open. Its relevance is that it demonstrates a recognised route from African competition to international esports. Future events may offer cash, travel support, qualification places or in-game rewards. Players must read the specific announcement because not every competition provides a direct cash payout. Free Fire Competitions Free Fire remains a popular mobile esports title because it can run on a wider range of Android devices than many high-end games. Nigerian gaming communities and regional organisers periodically host Free Fire tournaments. Rewards may include cash, airtime, game credits or physical products. The risk is inconsistent organiser quality. Unlike a permanent gaming app, a community tournament may rely on one group or sponsor to distribute prizes. Before joining, verify: The organiser’s public history The complete prize breakdown Registration and entry fees Match rules Anti-cheating procedures Payment timing Contact details Whether previous winners were paid Avoid sending an entry fee to a personal account when the organiser has no traceable identity or published terms. EA Sports FC Competitions EA Sports FC tournaments are common at gaming events, universities, lounges and esports gatherings. Players normally compete on console rather than through an app offering daily withdrawals. Prizes may come from entry fees, sponsors or event organisers. This route is suitable for players who already perform well against strong human opponents. It is not an efficient option for someone who would need to buy a console solely to chase prize money. Local competitions should publish the number of entrants, match format and paid positions before collecting registration fees. Tekken and Fighting-Game Events Tekken and other fighting games can provide cash-prize opportunities through local esports events. Success depends heavily on practice, matchup knowledge, timing and experience against competitive players. This makes fighting-game tournaments more skill-oriented than casual reward apps, but only a small percentage of entrants usually receive prizes. Players should distinguish between an announced prize pool and a guaranteed appearance fee. Most tournaments pay only the top finishers. Free Games That Pay Real Money Without Investment Some games can be entered without a deposit, but “free” does not mean there is no cost. Players may still spend money on: Mobile data Electricity Transport to an event Device repairs In-game upgrades Practice time Legitimate no-deposit opportunities usually include free esports qualifiers, sponsored tournaments, promotional credits and reward apps that pay for completing game offers. A free competition should not suddenly demand an activation fee when the player tries to claim a prize. Be especially careful with apps promising free money for recruiting other users. When referral activity matters more than gameplay, the service may be using a game as a cover for an unsustainable scheme. Games That Pay Directly to Nigerian Bank Accounts Direct bank transfer is usually the most practical payout method for Nigerian players. MPL Naija’s published information says eligible users can withdraw winnings to Nigerian bank accounts. Its guidance currently lists a low minimum withdrawal amount, but users should always confirm the figure inside the app because payment rules can change. International esports prizes may use bank transfer, cryptocurrency or specialist payment providers. A platform that says it pays cash worldwide does not necessarily support a simple naira transfer. Before playing, confirm: Withdrawal check Why it matters Supported Nigerian banks Prevents an unusable payout balance Minimum withdrawal Shows how long cash-out may take Processing period Separates instant requests from bank settlement Identity requirements Reduces the risk of a rejected withdrawal Currency and conversion fees Reveals the actual naira value Account-name rules Prevents payments being blocked Test the smallest permitted withdrawal before increasing deposits or entry fees. Games That Pay Through PalmPay or OPay Online lists frequently claim that dozens of games pay directly to PalmPay or OPay. Many of those claims are not supported by official instructions. Some platforms may send a standard Nigerian bank transfer to account details linked to a mobile wallet. That is different from having a dedicated PalmPay or OPay withdrawal option. Check the withdrawal screen yourself and confirm that: The wallet account can receive the transfer Your gaming profile uses the same legal name The app states the correct processing period No private agent is required No password, PIN or one-time code is requested Customer support can trace a failed payment Do not rely only on screenshots in WhatsApp groups or social-media comments. Why Old Money-Game Lists Can Be Misleading Current verification is important because gaming platforms can change or close. Repeat.gg appeared in many older lists of global cash-tournament sites. However, the company announced in 2026 that it was winding down, with tournaments ending by the close of May and the remaining service moving into a withdrawal phase. It should therefore no longer be recommended as a place to join new tournaments. Other international platforms may still operate but restrict individual competitions by country. A tournament website being accessible in Nigeria does not prove that Nigerian players qualify for its prizes. A trustworthy article should verify: The platform is still operating New competitions are available Nigeria is an eligible location The reward can be withdrawn locally The organiser has current payment rules Without those checks, a list can become outdated within months. How to Identify Legit Games and Apps No single app-store rating proves that a gaming platform is safe. Use several indicators together. Positive signal Warning sign Traceable publisher or organiser Anonymous developer Published rules Vague promises of easy money Clear prize structure Guaranteed winnings Visible entry fee Surprise payment before withdrawal Real customer support Support only through private messages Stated minimum payout Threshold changes after qualification Reasonable permissions Access to contacts, SMS or banking data Clear eligibility No age or country restrictions shown Download apps through official stores or the operator’s verified website. Fake versions may copy a recognised logo and use a similar name. Read recent negative reviews, not only five-star comments. Repeated reports of frozen withdrawals, altered thresholds or disappearing balances deserve attention. A legitimate operator may require identity verification. It should never ask for a bank PIN, card PIN, email password or one-time banking code. Understanding Gaming Regulation in Nigeria Nigeria’s gaming framework has changed following the move toward state-level regulatory authority. The Federation of State Gaming Regulators of Nigeria says its priorities include regulatory compliance, responsible gambling, stakeholder protection and preventing underage participation. Players should check which authority regulates an operator in their state. A generic badge saying “licensed” is not enough. The operator should identify the regulator, licence number and legal entity responsible for the service. Skill competitions and esports events may operate differently from casinos or betting services. When an entry fee and cash prize are involved, organisers should still explain the rules, eligibility and dispute process. Only adults should use gambling products. Tournament organisers should also state age requirements for younger esports participants. Can You Earn ₦1,000 in One Hour? A player may win ₦1,000 during a single match or tournament. That does not create a reliable ₦1,000 hourly income. Calculate the real result by subtracting: Entry fees Losing matches Deposits Data expenses Withdrawal charges Currency conversion Time spent practising Someone who receives ₦5,000 after paying ₦4,000 in total entry fees has made only ₦1,000 before data and time costs. Reward apps can also produce misleading hourly figures. A valuable introductory offer may be available once and then disappear, making the first hour impossible to repeat. No responsible platform or article should guarantee a fixed daily income from gaming. Casino Games That Pay Real Money in Nigeria Casino games can produce withdrawable winnings, but they belong in a separate risk category. Slots, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, live dealer games and crash games require players to stake money. Every session can end with a loss. Return to player percentages describe long-term mathematical performance across many wagers. They do not predict what one user will receive during a short session. Gistreel’s guide to casino RTP explains why an advertised percentage should not be interpreted as a personal repayment rate. Casino players should check: State or relevant local licensing Age requirements Deposit and withdrawal limits Identity verification Bonus restrictions Maximum cash-out rules Self-exclusion and account controls Complaint procedures Never borrow money to gamble. Do not increase stakes to recover a previous loss, and stop when spending reaches the limit set before the session. How to Compare BC.Game Monthly Rewards BC.Game lists several possible reward types, including daily rewards, weekly cashback, monthly cashback, VIP benefits and promotional drops. The existence of a monthly reward does not mean every player receives the same amount. Value can depend on wagering activity, game type, VIP level, account status and current promotional rules. The bc game monthly bonus calculator on Fairgambling allows users to test a monthly scenario and compare it with other supported casinos. This is useful for estimating whether an ongoing reward appears meaningful before depositing, provided the user then checks the latest casino terms. Review these conditions before claiming any casino promotion: Wagering requirements Eligible games Game contribution VIP qualification Claim period Maximum bet Maximum withdrawal KYC requirements Regional restrictions Whether payment is cash or bonus credit A smaller promotion with transparent conditions may be more useful than a large headline bonus that is difficult to withdraw. Tips to Maximize Earnings Safely Choose games you already understand. Paying entry fees while learning a new title can reduce your balance quickly. Use free practice modes before entering cash matches. Record results across several sessions rather than judging your skill from one win. Track deposits, entry fees and withdrawals in naira. A displayed winning balance can create a false impression when previous losses are ignored. Request a small payout early. A completed withdrawal provides stronger evidence than screenshots or testimonials. Follow verified publishers, tournament organisers and gaming federations for announcements. Do not pay individuals claiming they can secure a private competition slot. Use unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication. Keep gaming accounts separate from important email and banking credentials. Check mobile-data costs. A long tournament played on an expensive connection may provide poor value even if the entry is free. Treat casino spending as entertainment. Set a strict amount, avoid credit and never chase losses. Finally, compare gaming with more predictable options for making money online in Nigeria. Freelancing, tutoring, remote work and selling services usually provide a clearer relationship between time and payment. Gistreel’s guide to legitimate ways to make money online in Nigeria offers broader alternatives. Frequently Asked Questions Which games can I play in Nigeria to earn real money? Current options include eligible MPL Naija cash games and organised esports competitions involving titles such as Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Free Fire, EA Sports FC and Tekken. Tournament availability changes throughout the year. Which game is legitimate and pays real money? MPL Naija currently has the clearest documented route for eligible cash-game winnings to be withdrawn to Nigerian bank accounts. Players should still confirm current rules inside the app. Are there free games that pay real money in Nigeria? Yes. Free esports qualifiers, promotional tournaments and some reward apps may offer prizes without a deposit. Payment is not guaranteed, and data or participation costs may still apply. Do games pay directly to PalmPay or OPay? Some services may support those wallets through normal bank transfers, but direct wallet support must be confirmed in the official withdrawal menu. Are there games that pay instantly in Nigeria? Some services process requests quickly, but an instant request is not necessarily an instant bank settlement. Verification and payment-provider delays may apply. Can I earn ₦1,000 in one hour from games? It is possible to win that amount in a particular competition, but no legitimate game can guarantee it as a repeatable hourly income. How do I withdraw earnings from a gaming app? Complete any identity checks, confirm the supported payment method, meet the minimum withdrawal and request a small amount first. Never share a password, PIN or one-time code. Do I need to invest money before playing? Not always. Some tournaments are free, while cash matches and casino games may require an entry fee or deposit. Are casino games a reliable way to earn money? No. Casino games involve a risk of loss and should be treated as paid entertainment rather than a dependable income source. Can I earn ₦50,000 every month by playing games? A skilled competitor may occasionally win that amount, but it is not a realistic guarantee for the average player. Avoid platforms promising fixed monthly earnings. What Nigerian Players Should Remember The strongest opportunities in 2026 are verified local cash competitions and properly organised esports tournaments, not anonymous apps promising effortless income. MPL Naija offers the clearest everyday route for eligible Nigerian cash games, while Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Free Fire, EA Sports FC and Tekken can provide event-based prize opportunities for skilled competitors. Check every entry fee, reward rule and withdrawal method before playing. A genuine platform explains how prizes are funded, who qualifies and when payment is made. Gaming can provide entertainment, occasional pocket money or a pathway into competitive esports. It should not be treated as guaranteed employment, and casino play should never involve money needed for food, rent, education or other essential expenses.

Joao Pedro scores nine-minute hat-trick as Alonso begins Chelsea reign with 6-4 pre-season win

GistReel Chelsea began the Xabi Alonso era with an entertaining 6-4 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers in a high-scoring pre-season friendly at the Accor Stadium. The Blues recovered from falling behind on three occasions before substitute Joao Pedro inspired a dramatic comeback with a second-half hat-trick. Joao Pedro steals the show Chelsea made the perfect start when Dastan Satpaev latched onto Ryan Kavuma-McQueen’s through pass and fired into the roof of the net. The Australian side responded quickly as Anthony Pantazopoulos headed home from close range before Aydan Hammond gave the hosts a surprise lead with a fine finish past Teddy Sharman-Lowe. Dario Essugo restored parity just before half-time after converting Reggie Walsh’s pass. Joao Pedro celebrates his second goal in the match – Getty image Western Sydney again moved ahead after the break, but Jamie Gittens, who came in as substitute continued his impressive pre-season form by making it 3-3 with his third goal in as many matches. Chelsea found themselves chasing the game once more after another defensive lapse allowed the Wanderers to score, but Joao Pedro equalised before taking control of the contest. Chelsea recover after defensive lapses The Brazilian forward came off the bench to transform the game, scoring three goals in nine minutes to complete a hat-trick and seal Chelsea’s victory. His clinical finishing proved decisive as Alonso’s side overcame defensive errors to maintain a winning start to their pre-season preparations. The match also offered encouraging signs for several young Chelsea players, including Satpaev, Essugo and Gittens, who all got on the scoresheet. While Chelsea’s attack impressed, Alonso will likely be concerned by the four goals conceded ahead of the new campaign. Chelsea next face Tottenham on Saturday in the Sydney Cup.

    - Wayne Colley, better known as “Kountry Wayne”, is not your average skit-standup comedian. Hailing from Millen, Georgia, Wayne grew up with aspirations of becoming a super-star rapper, but those ambitions quickly changed when he posted a video to Facebook and became a viral sensation overnight. Wayne attacked his new found fame head on and grew his audience to over 10 Million followers across Facebook & Instagram by delivering liked content on a daily basis. With his humble roots and unbridled energy it’s clear Wayne will be making people laugh for years to come.
