“You were born with a gift greater than you know.” That powerful declaration sets the tone for the magical, action-packed trailer for ‘Children of Blood and Bone,’ Gina Prince-Bythewood’s upcoming film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling novel. Paramount Pictures released the official trailer, offering audiences a glimpse into the world of Orïsha.

Starring Thuso Mbedu, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris, and Tosin Cole, the story follows Zélie (Mbedu) and her older brother Tzain (Cole). To rise up against an oppressive regime and restore magic to their kingdom, the siblings form an unlikely alliance with the king’s own children, Princess Amari (Stenberg) and Prince Inan (Idris).

The fantasy features an ensemble cast, including Chiwetel Ejiofor as King Saran, Viola Davis as Mama Agba, Cynthia Erivo as Admiral Kaea, Idris Elba as Lekan, Lashana Lynch as Jumoke, Regina King as Queen Nehanda, and Zackary Momoh as Adetayo.
