ATTENTION! Filmmakers, actors, creatives, and film enthusiasts. Two black women are making history with a unique event. Carpool’s Drive-In Film Festival is back for year two. It is the only place you need to be July 30 - August 2, 2026. This isn’t just a film festival. It’s an opportunity to connect and grow. Made for creatives by creatives with intentional networking events built in the programming.

CDFF opens with a game night mixer, the cookout event allows you to build connections, and the panels will leave you feeling “fueled.” Carpool’s Drive-In Film Festival honors the nostalgia of the drive-in format while bringing a new fresh and fun creative element to the mix. Whether you’re coming out to support independent artist or connect to your next project, you’ll be guaranteed to find more film family. Imagine spending the evening under the stars, while watching incredible independent films light up the big screen. From the screenings and inspiring panels to the events designed for intentional networking, this festival celebrates the power of independent storytelling and fosters community.

This year we will partner with BlkScript to bring you The Blind Sides Live Actors Showcase. It will feature pairs of actors who perform short scenes with partners they meet just before the showcase. Actors will perform for a chance to be featured on the official Blind Sides show, as well as an opportunity to be seen and receive feedback from professional actors, casting directors, talent agents, and other industry professionals.

During year 2 CDFF is excited to celebrate 10 years of Screening Room ATL! Screening Room ATL has been a go to event highlighting independent filmmakers, we are honored to have this collaboration and celebrate its impact.

We are also excited to partner with Black & Sexy TV to bring you a spotlight screening of episodes from “Hello Cupid,” a series created by Lena Waithe & Ashley Blaine Featherson-Jenkins. Black & Sexy TV is everything we love about independent storytelling. They didn’t wait for Hollywood to open a door, instead they built their own and because of that, Hollywood came knocking. We will also host a panel featuring Dennis Dortch, one of the creators of Black & Sexy TV, to discuss his journey and share his expertise titled the “Roadmap to Distribution.”

Whether you’re looking to meet collaborators, support independent film, or simply searching for community, Carpool’s Drive-In Film Festival is where creativity, community, and entertainment come together.
