The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired center Walker Kessler from the Utah Jazz in a sign-and-trade agreement, according to multiple reports, including ESPN’s Shams Charania. Kessler, a restricted free agent, will sign a four-year, $130 million contract with the Lakers. The deal includes a player option in the fourth year and a full 15% trade kicker. In return, the Jazz will receive unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, plus first-round pick swaps in 2028 and 2030. The move gives the Lakers a young, proven defensive anchor to pair with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves in the post-LeBron James era.
