The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has confirmed that its candidates will appear on the ballot in next year’s general elections.

Ikenna Enekweizu, the party’s National Secretary, made this pledge on Friday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He was commenting on the party’s registration contests.

Recall that on Friday, a Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, reversed its decision directing the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to register the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, as a political party.

“All of our candidates will be on the ballot in 2027, and we will win the election. We still have six months till next year.

Let me tell you something. There’s a funny thing about this situation. We were supposed to pick up our codes to begin uploading our prospects today.

We were meant to go to INEC today to pick up the codes, but the ruling was simply announced in the middle of the day.

“I believe it was constructed and timed to prevent us from picking up those codes, but I tell you that we will. We will upload our candidates and participate in the polls.

“Our candidates and supporters have nothing to worry about. We will win the polls because Nigerians are fed up with what is happening in their country today. We are fed up with the poverty, instability, government failures, and heartlessness that are destroying this country,” he stated.
