A mother has sparked widespread conversation online after openly expressing exhaustion over the daily demands of marriage and motherhood.

A cry for help from overwhelmed mothers

In a viral post shared on Tuesday, the unidentified woman lamented the emotional and physical burden of caring for her home and children without support or appreciation.

Her statement has resonated with many other Nigeria women who say they face similar struggles in silence.

The incident highlights growing concerns about mental health, gender roles, and the pressure placed on mothers across households in the country.

I’m tired of being a wife and mother, I’m really tired. I take care of the whole house, the kids, wash plates, and nobody even asks if I’m fine. It feels like I don’t exist beyond what I do for everyone,” she said.

Her emotional outcry has since drawn sympathy and debate on social media, with users calling for more support systems for women.

    Rising conversations around mental health

Experts say such expressions are becoming more common as more women speak out about burnout and emotional neglect.

Similar concerns were raised in 2023 when several mothers participated in online campaigns advocating shared responsibilities at home.
