SummaryZenith debuts the G.F.J. Calibre 135 Double Signed with Naoya Hida & Co.The 39.15mm platinum watch boasts a hand-engraved silver dial with blue Urushi lacquerPriced at $75,000 USD, the timepiece is limited to only 10 examplesAs hinted at during our recent visit to Zenith's Manufacture, the Maison has officially unveiled its newest collaborative G.F.J. timepiece: the G.F.J. Calibre 135 Double Signed with Naoya Hida & Co..Releasing on June 2, 2026, this collaboration launches Zenith’s new "Double Signed Program," which revives the golden age tradition of watchmakers co-signing masterpieces as a seal of shared heritage. For this inaugural release, the Swiss Manufacture partnered with independent Japanese brand Naoya Hida & Co., known for its meticulous attention to proportion and deep respect for mid-century mechanical watchmaking. The project was born from an intuitive connection between Zenith's Chief Product Officer, Romain Marietta and founder Naoya Hida, who has revered the legendary Calibre 135 since the 1990s.Presented in a 39mm platinum case, the watch features a solid silver dial, hand‑engraved indications filled with deep blue Japanese urushi lacquer and dual signatures from both Zenith and Naoya Hida & Co. The craftsmanship extends to the details: gold hour and minute hands, a heat‑blued steel small seconds hand and a sapphire caseback revealing the hand‑wound Calibre 135. The movement offers a 72‑hour power reserve, COSC certification and refined finishing with Geneva stripes, ruthenium treatment, and yellow gold accents. Technical highlights include a large variable‑inertia balance wheel, Breguet overcoil, and Charles Fleck’s double arrow regulator, underscoring the watch’s precision pedigree.Delivered with three distinct straps - Himeji Kurozan leather, Kyoto Wagyu leather and Kaihara indigo denim - the watch blends Swiss horological heritage with Japanese artisanal mastery. Priced at $75,000 USD, the G.F.J. Calibre 135 Double Signed embodies both restraint and depth, offering collectors a rare fusion of Zenith’s technical legacy and Naoya Hida’s design philosophy. As teased in the earlier Hypebeast feature, this release represents not only a continuation of the Calibre 135 story but also a bold new chapter in collaborative watchmaking.
