He played last season with the Washington Commanders and had nine sacks, 26 tackles and six tackles for loss on defense across 17 games while playing only 420 defensive snaps.

Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion, winning MVP honors during the Broncos’ Super Bowl victory in 2016. He won another ring with the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season. Miller has eight career Pro Bowl appearances, three first-team All-Pro honors and was named the 2011 Defensive Rookie of the Year.

As he joins Dallas, he has 138.5 career sacks, which is the most among all active NFL players. Miller is tied with former Cowboys great DeMarcus Ware for ninth-most all-time in NFL history.

The signing adds veteran leadership to a young Cowboys outside linebacker room that includes first-round picks Rashan Gary and Malachi Lawrence, along with Donovan Ezeiruaku, James Houston, Sam Williams, Marist Liufau and Tyrus Wheat. Miller will give Dallas another established pass rusher and a veteran presence the team can lean on as its young players continue to develop.
