HDP Studios today announced the release of its new dramedy pilot, Thirty Something: Adulthood Under Construction, a half-hour scripted series created by Romeo Etienne and Hope Hollinsworth Coaxum. The project enters the marketplace with a grounded, character-first approach to contemporary adult life, where past ambition collides with present reality, and reinvention is no longer optional.

Set in New York City, the series follows Romeo Carter, a former hip-hop artist navigating the aftermath of a career-defining business collapse. Once propelled by momentum and cultural relevance, Romeo now faces the more complex challenge of rebuilding, from his finances to his identity. As he recalibrates, his personal life proves equally unstable, with romantic entanglements and evolving friendships forcing him to confront long-avoided truths.

Blending sharp, dialogue-driven humor with emotionally grounded storytelling, Thirty Something sits at the intersection of comedy and drama. The pilot episode, “You Me, Him and Her,” establishes a tone that is both culturally specific and broadly relatable, centered on growth, accountability, and second chances.

Leading this ensemble cast is Romeo Etienne, who plays Romeo Carter, Martina Holley, Wayne Vielot, Jacque Horton, and Sadeeah Bunch. Each character represents distinct perspectives on success, failure, and modern relationships.
