Federal prosecutors say Frank Musoke, a former account manager at a Beverly Hills business management and tax firm, was charged in an eight-count indictment with five counts of wire fraud and three counts of tax evasion. The Department of Justice did not name Cannon directly, identifying the victim only as a well-known television host and producer. TMZ, citing sources with direct knowledge, reported that the alleged victim is Cannon. According to prosecutors, Musoke had access to the celebrity client's business bank account, debit cards, and PINs while managing his financial affairs. The indictment alleges that from December 2019 through June 2023, Musoke used that access without permission to withdraw about $1.7 million from ATMs, spend more than $165,000 on Amazon purchases, charge nearly $192,000 in personal travel expenses, and make more than $160,000 in other personal purchases. In total, prosecutors allege Musoke embezzled more than $2 million. The firm reportedly fired him in July 2023 after the missing money was discovered. Prosecutors also accuse him of filing false federal tax returns and failing to report about $1.76 million in allegedly stolen income. Authorities believe Musoke fled to Uganda, where he has dual citizenship with the United States. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in federal prison for each wire fraud count and up to five years for each tax evasion count. The FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation are handling the case. The case is another reminder of how vulnerable high-earning entertainers can be when financial managers have broad access to accounts. For Cannon, who has built a long career across television, radio, comedy, music, and production, the allegations point to a major betrayal by someone trusted to manage his money. Musoke is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. #blackmillionaires #blackmillionairespodcast #jameshilltv #nickcannon
