The SIAC Council of Presidents has unanimously approved a contract extension for Commissioner Anthony Holloman, Ed.D., through 2029.

The extension was announced on Thursday during the Council of Presidents’ 2026 Summer Board Meeting in Atlanta, following the Council’s annual review of Holloman’s performance.

Under Holloman’s leadership, the SIAC has built the SIAC Network, a conference-wide platform to distribute content and increase visibility for member institutions and student-athletes. During the 2025 football season, three SIAC programs advanced to the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs.

The conference has also joined the ACC Football Officiating Alliance, making the SIAC the only HBCU conference in the alliance. Holloman became the first person from an HBCU to chair the NCAA Men’s Volleyball Committee.

“I am deeply appreciative of the Council of Presidents’ continued confidence in our leadership and the direction of the SIAC,” Holloman said. “Our conference stands on a tremendous legacy created by a cadre of institutional leaders, student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.”

The Council also approved eliminating divisions across all sports, following the format the conference implemented in football in 2022. Women’s flag football was approved as a varsity sport beginning with the 2026-27 academic year.
