Is your post-surgical recovery in safe hands? A Maryland nurse had her license suspended & nearly lost her home after a woman behind an unaccredited post-op university filed a complaint with the nursing board. In this episode of TSR Investigates, we dive into the war of words between Registered Nurse Stephanie Skipper and Tainika Brown, the woman behind the now-shuttered Tosi University. Skipper paid $6,000 to take post-op surgery courses at what was being marketed as TOSI University, run by Brown. After Skipper declined to join Brown's organization, she says Brown filed a complaint against her with the Maryland Board of Nursing. The Maryland Board of Nursing suspended Skipper's license for nearly a year, sending her into financial ruin with two homes in active foreclosure. TSR Investigates' host Justin Carter digs into the unregulated world of post-op care, a cease and desist issued against TOSI University, and the questions surrounding who is actually protecting patients — and the professionals caring for them. Is anyone truly regulating the post-op care industry?
