A wedding scheduled to take place on Saturday was reportedly cancelled after a disagreement between a couple over asoebi arrangements, according to a viral video shared by a female narrator.

In the video, she explained that her cousin called off his wedding after issues arose between his fiancée and his family regarding joining the asoebi group.

She said the bride insisted that the groom’s family must not join the asoebi for the wedding.

According to her account, the groom is the person who paid for the asoebi but the bride objected that his family must not wear it.

The disagreement reportedly escalated when she maintained that the family would not be part of her asoebi group.

The narrator further claimed that the bride said she did not care if the groom’s family wore different clothes, and insisted they would not be included in her wedding group.

She also alleged that the bride went further to say the family should not be featured in the wedding photographs if they did not meet up to her class.

The situation, according to her, led the groom to cancel the wedding entirely. She added that the disagreement occurred despite the bride price already being paid and traditional marriage arrangements having been completed.

She also mentioned that members of the bride’s family later came to plead for reconciliation, but the groom stood by his decision to call off the wedding.

He reportedly insisted that the matter reflected deeper issues that could not be ignored.
