The King of Pop has made history—again! Lionsgate and Universal’s highly acclaimed biopic ‘Michael,’ directed by Antoine Fuqua, has officially become the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time, amassing an incredible $911.9M worldwide. With this box office success, the film officially surpasses the Freddie Mercury biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ which previously held the record at $911M.

With ‘Michael’ officially premiering in Japan this month, the blockbuster is now well-positioned to cross the historic $1 billion mark at the global box office.
