The co-branded toy car – produced by long time Japanese diecast brand Tomica – features the sleek newly-revealed GR GT3 with co-branded stickers between GR and McDonald's. Naturally, the duo-branded version of the GR GT3 Tomica will only be available at McDonald's, and only those in Japan as its a local Japanese campaign. The toy collectible will release beginning April 10 at all McDonald's Japan locations, alongside three other designs including a Nissan Skyline patrol car and a Toyota TownAce hamburger car. Beginning April 24, phase 2 will begin with four more additional cars, as well as a secret "chase" car. No details were given on the design, but from the silhouette it appears to be the GR GT3 as well, most likely in an exclusive color combination or with special decals.Alongside the Happy Meal Toy campaign, McDonald's Japan will also hold a GR GT3 Wrapping Design Contest, with special prizes awarded to the best designs submitted through their campaign page. More details will be announced on April 10.
