With the 2026 World Cup now days away, Mackage took to New York City to host a culturally charged event at Bar Oliver, celebrating the recent launch of its Team Croatia off-field capsule. The Canadian brand’s Big Apple event joined the city’s packed schedule of World Cup celebrations, which have rendered NYC’s establishments abuzz like never before with football-fueled celebrations and special kit drops. Bringing its heavy-hitting roster of creatives, designers, and pop culture figures under one roof, Mackage’s attendees underscored the growing overlap between football fanatics and mainstream culture.Hosted by Croatian player Lovro Majer, guests like fashion figure Leandra Medine Cohen, activist and author Amanda Nguyen, actresses Iman Perez and Rebecca Dayan, celebrity chef Andy Baraghani, creative Jonathon Burford, and The Atanga Twins — as well as Kyle Hotchkiss, Isaac Hindin-Miller, Sam French, Dianne Brill, Demit Omphroy — filled the room on Thursday night, showcasing how the sport can tie every scene into one room. The Bar Oliver takeover brought the campaign to life. Foosball tables spilled onto the sidewalk, and the bar's wood-clad interiors echoed the traditional Croatian cafe that anchored the original set design.Released on May 28, Mackage's Team Croatia collection pairs functional sportswear with refined tailoring — versatile technical pieces with removable hoods and bibs, grounded by the brand's debut sneaker, the Luka. The event spotlighted both the Croatia-inspired range and the players featured in the lookbook, tying the gear to the deep-rooted lore of Croatian football. With Hunter Abrams on photography and DJ Bea Hardy working the decks all night, the room nodded to football's global pull. The event grounded the off-field collection in the community the sport builds worldwide — proof, whether at the party or the pitch, that Mackage sees modern sportswear as much about belonging as competition.Mackage World Cup capsule for the Croatian National Team and the Luka sneaker are available now via the brand’s official webstore.
