SummaryThe collaborative project reimagines the classic 9FORTY silhouette using high-end gingham check shirt fabricsPremium textiles are sourced from Turkey's SOKTAS and the Czech Republic's MiletaA unique 25-degree clockwise tilted NY logo is featured on the front with official approval from the MLBNew Era and JOURNAL STANDARD have officially reunited to release a new collection of 9FORTY caps for Spring/Summer 2026. The latest collaborative effort elevates the classic headwear silhouette by swapping out traditional materials for premium gingham check shirting fabrics. The duo presents two distinct iterations of the baseball cap, each utilizing renowned European textiles. The black-and-white colorway is constructed with fabric from SOKTAS, a luxury shirt fabric manufacturer founded in Soke, Turkey, in 1971. Conversely, the white-and-red model employs material from Mileta, a prestigious fabric maker established in 1949 in the Podkrkonoší region of the Czech Republic. Built upon the 9FORTY silhouette, the caps feature a slightly deeper fit, a curved visor, and a unique core inside the front panel to maintain a structured, classic shape.A standout design element is the playful manipulation of the New York Yankees insignia. The front panels showcase an NY logo that has been tilted 25 degrees clockwise. To secure MLB approval for this unconventional styling, a small, standard-angle NY logo is embroidered on the rear of the cap.The New Era x JOURNAL STANDARD 9FORTY caps are available now.
