IWC has unveiled the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team, celebrating its 14th year as the official engineering partner of the F1 team. Releasing ahead of the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix, the watch marks the fourth official team watch created for trackside mechanics, engineers, and headquarters staff. The timepiece stands out as the first in IWC’s Pilot’s Watch collection to feature a vivid, deep purple dial. The rich hue pays tribute to Singapore’s national flower - the orchid Vanda Miss Joaquim - and is contrasted by the team's signature PETRONAS green accents on the numerals, indices and luminescent hands.Framed in a 41mm case crafted from Grade 5 titanium, the watch borrows directly from motorsport materials prized for high strength-to-density ratios, heat resistance and light weight. The brushed silvery-gray metal body is paired with a matching purple rubber strap equipped with IWC's EasX-CHANGE® quick-release system, allowing for rapid strap swaps. Built with an instrument-style layout, the watch features IWC's signature vertical sub-dial configuration at 12 o'clock alongside a day-date display positioned at 3 o'clock.Underneath the sapphire crystal dial, the watch is driven by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 69385. This mechanical chronograph utilizes a classical column-wheel architecture paired with a bidirectional pawl winding system, offering a 46-hour power reserve.Retailing at $9,200 USD, the new Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team model will be available via IWC.
