A lady has stirred widespread reactions on social media after questioning why many divorced women allegedly blame only their former husbands when discussing failed marriages.

In a post that has since gone viral, the woman argued that she has rarely seen divorced women openly admit their own mistakes, claiming that discussions about failed marriages often focus solely on the shortcomings of men.

Her remarks have generated mixed opinions, with many internet users weighing in on the issue of accountability in relationships.

    Lady questions accountability after divorce

Expressing her opinion, the lady wrote, “I’ve never seen any divorced woman tell us why they had a failed marriage, everytime, the man no good, the man no good.”

She further challenged divorced women to be open about their own roles in failed unions, suggesting that such honesty could help younger women learn valuable lessons before getting married.

The lady added, “If e sure for you, con tell us why your marriage failed. As una dey tell young girls to carry shoulder up and disrespect men, make una dey also tell us why your marriage failed.”

According to her, successful and unsuccessful marriages are shaped by the actions of both partners, rather than one person alone.

Social media users share divided opinions

She concluded her message by saying, “Everytime na the man get fault. What about you? It takes two to make a wrong, it takes two to make a right. Make una come out tell us your fault so that we can learn.”

The post has since sparked a lively debate across social media platforms. While some users agreed that both partners should take responsibility for the breakdown of a marriage, others argued that every relationship is different and that it is unfair to generalise the experiences of divorced women.

The discussion continues to attract comments from people sharing personal experiences and differing perspectives on marriage and accountability.
