A woman has sparked widespread reactions online after recounting how she allegedly outwitted a self-acclaimed “freelance prophet” who demanded her diamond wedding ring as a spiritual seed in exchange for her husband’s promotion.

According to the account shared by the woman, the prophet, described as her husband’s childhood friend, visited their home for dinner before suddenly claiming to receive a divine revelation.

Midway through the meal, he declared that God wanted the wife to surrender her diamond wedding ring to his ministry to unlock her husband’s promotion.

The woman’s husband, believing the prophecy, urged his wife to comply, assuring her they could always replace the ring. Without protesting, she calmly removed the ring and handed it over to the visitor.

Wife’s unexpected response changes the situation

The woman later narrated, “The spirit is speaking! The spirit says the car you drove to this house today has a generational curse, and you must hand over the keys to the wife of this house before 2:00 PM, or your legs will bend!”

According to her account, the prophet immediately became visibly frightened. Rather than respond to the alleged prophecy, he dropped the diamond ring on the floor, grabbed his belongings and fled the house on foot, abandoning the vehicle he had arrived in.

Story sparks debate on spiritual manipulation

The unusual account has generated widespread discussion on social media, with many users describing the woman’s response as clever while others questioned the authenticity of the story.

The incident has also reignited conversations about spiritual manipulation, with many commenters stressing the importance of discernment when individuals claim to speak on behalf of God, particularly in matters involving money or valuable possessions.
