🇵🇦 Deep inside Panama’s rainforest, I traveled by dugout canoe to visit the Emberá people — one of the country’s Indigenous communities working to preserve their traditions, language, and way of life in a rapidly changing world. In this episode of This Is Somewhere, we leave Panama City behind and journey into the heart of the jungle, where we spend the day learning about Emberá culture, traditional dances, food, ceremonies, body painting, and the challenges of passing these traditions on to future generations. Along the way, we: * Travel upriver by traditional canoe * Visit the Emberá village of Evaribia * Learn about Indigenous life in Panama * Hike through the rainforest to a waterfall * Witness a traditional Emberá wedding ceremony * Experience traditional music and dance * Receive a natural tattoo made from rainforest plants * Enjoy an authentic Emberá lunch * Discuss culture, identity, and the future of Indigenous traditions This experience became much more than a village tour. It became a reminder that culture survives because people choose to protect it, share it, and pass it on. ⸻ 🎥 Featured in this Episode: * Emberá Village of Evaribia * Chagres National Park * Traditional Dugout Canoes * Rainforest Waterfalls * Indigenous Wedding Ceremony * Traditional Body Painting * Emberá Music & Dance ⸻ 🌎 Watch the Panama Series: Episode 1: Panama Is More Than Just a Canal 🇵🇦 ✔️ Casco Viejo ✔️ Panama Canal ✔️ San Blas Islands ✔️ Guna Culture ✔️ Panamanian Food Episode 2: ✔️ Emberá Village ✔️ Rainforest Adventure ✔️ Indigenous Culture ✔️ Traditional Wedding Ceremony ⸻ #Panama #Embera #IndigenousCulture #PanamaTravel #Rainforest #TravelDocumentary #ThisIsSomewhere #CulturalTravel #AdventureTravel #LatinAmerica #PanamaVlog #TravelFilm #IndigenousPeople #ChagresNationalPark #CraigLou 🗞 Join the Community HERE! 🌐 Website: www.craiglou.com 📄 Media Kit: https://www.craiglou.com/mediakit ⸻ 🔗 Stay Connected With Me: 📸 Instagram: @craiglou_ 🎥 TikTok: @craiglou_ 🌍 Website: www.craiglou.com ⸻ Host: Craig Lou Founder of This Is Somewhere Visual Storyteller | Drone Pilot | Culture Curator.
