A Nigerian lady has criticised NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi over claims that the current administration is deliberately frustrating him.

Her reaction follows Obi’s recent interview on With Chude, where he alleged that he faces daily obstacles and feels personally targeted by the government.

Reacting to the interview, the lady described some of Obi’s remarks as “reckless,” insisting there was no reason to believe airport officials were instructed not to greet him.

    In her words, she said:

“I watched Peter Obi’s video, and I must say that statement about his life is such a very reckless statement. He said when he gets to the airport, people don’t greet him anymore. It’s funny for you to believe that political leaders will go to the airport and tell officers not to greet you.”

She also addressed Obi’s claim that he was prevented from parking at a particular location, arguing that he allegedly parked where he was not authorised to.

According to her, if security officials asked him to move, he should have simply complied.

The lady further dismissed Obi’s allegation that the government targeted his brother by demolishing his property, claiming several other buildings in the area were also affected because they allegedly violated planning regulations.

“They didn’t deliberately come for his brother. A lot of buildings in that vicinity were brought down. I think he’s just trying to get pity votes and make people feel sorry for him,” she added.

Her comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics of Peter Obi debating her claims.
