A Nigerian man, Chidi A. Okoroafor, has shared a disturbing account of a young man who allegedly took over his late father’s hotel and was later killed at the age of 30.

Okoroafor shared the story on Facebook, claiming the young man allegedly mistreated female workers at the hotel and faced complaints from his mother over his conduct.

He Allegedly Harassed Female Workers

Okoroafor claimed the young man took over the hotel after his father died and began making unwanted advances towards female employees.

He said workers who rejected his advances were either dismissed or had their salaries withheld for months.

“Anyone who refuses to sleep with him is either sent away or her salaries would be delayed for up to three, four or more months.”

Some employees reportedly left the hotel without collecting several months of unpaid salaries.

His Mother Tried to Intervene

The Facebook user said the man’s mother became concerned about his alleged behaviour and asked him to speak with her son because of his relationship with the late hotel owner.

“Because of my relationship with his late father, his mother begged me to talk to him and I did.”

He said the conversation did not go as planned despite his attempt to approach the situation diplomatically.

“I noticed that despite how diplomatic I was, he still got offended and stormed out of the venue.”

‘He Attempted to Sleep With a Mature Widow’

Okoroafor also claimed that the young man made advances towards a widow who had worked as a cleaner at the hotel for 11 years.

The woman allegedly chose to resign rather than accept the advances.

“The woman chose to resign than do that. A boy that is the age of her second son.”

Young Hotel Owner Allegedly Hacked to Death

Okoroafor claimed that the man was killed outside the hotel on a Thursday night.

He said some young men reportedly gathered in front of the hotel around 11pm and began making noise.

The hotel owner allegedly went outside to find out what was happening before the men attacked him.

Okoroafor claimed that residents in nearby buildings heard the attackers making comments about the man’s alleged treatment of women.

“They also heard the boys saying he should get up and sleep with women again nau.”

He also alleged that one of the attackers made a disturbing remark about the man’s body after the attack.

‘He Took Over the Hotel at 28 and Died at 30’

Following the reported death, Okoroafor said he contacted the man’s mother to offer his condolences.

He also encouraged her to resume management of the family hotel and consider recalling former employees who allegedly left without receiving their salaries.

“He took over the hotel at 28 and died at 30. Uwa ntoor!”
