Tolu Arokodare’s future at Wolverhampton Wanderers has come under scrutiny following a reported dressing room altercation involving a team-mate.

The striker, who has scored six goals in all competitions this season, was left out of action as an unused substitute during Wolves’ 3-0 defeat to Leeds United.

    Reported altercation prompts disciplinary action

Details of the incident emerged through journalist Nathan Judah, who stated that a confrontation between Arokodare and Mateus Mane escalated beyond a verbal exchange.

“It is my understanding that following the 4-0 defeat at West Ham last week, there was a verbal altercation between Tolu Arokodare & Mateus Mane in the dressing room,” he said.

“That altercation became significantly physical with Arokodare being the sole aggressor. He has since been fined by the club & was an unused substitute on Saturday in the 3-0 defeat at Leeds.”

The report added: “The Nigerian international’s future at the club is in considerable doubt heading into the summer.”

    Situation stabilises but uncertainty remains

Despite the reported incident, there are indications tensions may have eased. Mane shared an image of both players on social media with the caption “big bro,” suggesting a resolution between the pair.

However, the internal disciplinary response and timing of the incident have raised questions about Arokodare’s standing within the squad.

    Relegation pressure compounds issues

Wolves currently sit bottom of the Premier League table with 17 points from 33 matches, leaving the club on the brink of relegation.

The broader context of poor results and dressing room instability adds complexity to decision-making ahead of the transfer window.

Arokodare, who joined from Genk less than a year ago, is attracting interest from clubs both within England and abroad, leaving his next move uncertain as the season approaches its conclusion.
