Slotted between the base Stingray and the track-focused Z06, the rear-wheel-drive Grand Sport and the all-wheel-drive Grand Sport X feature wider bodywork, upgraded suspension, and bigger brakes inherited from the Z06 and ZR1 models. At the heart of both new Corvettes is the debut of a next-generation 6.7-liter LS6 V-8 engine. Replacing the outgoing LT2, this naturally aspirated small-block is packed with performance hardware, including a tunnel ram intake, forged internals, and a 13:1 compression ratio. The LS6 produces 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, making it the most torque-heavy naturally aspirated V-8 in the model's history. Power is routed exclusively through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Grand Sport X model arrives as a direct replacement for the Corvette E-Ray. It combines the new LS6 V-8 with the front-axle electric motor and battery pack from the ZR1X, pushing the total combined output to a staggering 721 horsepower. The GSX also features standard carbon-ceramic brakes and exclusive track modes, making it an extreme all-weather performer. Official pricing has not been fully detailed, but the rear-drive Grand Sport is expected to start under $100,000 USD.
